"Let us pray that, through the intercession of Saint John Mary Vianney, God will give holy priests to his Church and will increase in the faithful the desire to sustain and help them in their ministry."
—Benedict XVI, August 2009

Seattle Serra is the original Serra Club. Founded in Seattle in 1935, Serra International has grown into a worldwide association that encourages vocations to the Roman Catholic priesthood and to religious life in the Catholic Church.

Like all Serrans, members of the Serra Club of Seattle principally focus on encouraging others to consider vocations in the Church, especially for serving in the Archdiocese of Seattle as well as other dioceses in the northwest. Seattle Serrans support men and women already in Church ministry. They see prayer and work for Church vocations as part of their own Christian vocations to service.
